"Can I See Your Droid"?

I sometimes open a game and hand it to my wife to play like on a long trip... but she doesn't dare try to use it.....

I tell anybody that asks to check it out to hold it by the edges.....as any button or any part of the screen opens something or moves something.

Your grandkid could definitely get it screwed up real quick..... no picture taking for the kids.... get your own stinkin camera.....sorry!

I let my ten year old daughter play with it, but she inevitably gets Pandora and Slacker running at the same time.

fallsgable, your right, it is just a phone, and it doesn't make you special. But your opinion is just an opinion, and it doesn't make you special, either. Your opinion doesn't make you a jackass, but your choice of presentation here does. There's no need to try to belittle or denigrate anyone else here by using huge font along with your sarcasm. We get it; you're far above the rest of us as we wallow in our petty materialistic lust. :icon_rolleyes:
Someone asks to see mt Droid and I say "Got 600 bucks in case you drop it?".
If you don't hand it over, the person's gonna think you're a jerk anyway, so what's the difference?

well played sir...

for some of us it is an extension of ourselves... customizing, customizing, customizing... we can make the phone just as unique as ourselves...

Well I am relieved to seen I am not the only one that feels overly protective of their droid. In fact I think other than Fallsgable everyone else either does not allow touching or start sweating immediately after transfer of phone to other hands.

Demo only. If they are interested, and I have had converts, one directs them to a store where they may fondle to their hearts delight.

I would let someone I know almost at any level to play with it. If a guy came up to me on the street (a complete and total stranger), I'd probably say no.

If I was at a poker game, as the original story was, I would assume I 'kinda" know everyone there or at least was introduced to the person, so I would probably allow them to check it out.

I guess as long as I thought the person wouldn't run away with it, yes, I'd let them play with it. Its a gadget, and its new, so people always ask to play with new devices. I got used to it. I've had so many people ask me "what is that?" or "yo is that a Droid? Can I check it out?" That I'm used to it.

Over the years, I have had many things that people have wanted to see(actually only this and razr before it came out). I learned my lesson with that razr... Back then, I would let my friends and such see it, but now, I only let family. The reason being, is that with my razr, everyone would start reading my texts, and looking at my contacts, and my pictures and such. Its my phone with my PERSONAL information on it. If I wanted you to go through and read all my texts I would of told you to. God I hated everyone that did that. I actually punched a person when they went through my contacts, because they started saying "OMG you know *insert name*. I haaate her!" , and then quickly went to my texts and started reading the ones about her. NO ONE sees my droid except for family now.

Wow why did u have to make a post about this. Seriously we don't care who you let see your phone

If you don't have anything to contribute to the OP, then why bother posting? He/she made a post about it because they chose to, that's why. It was a general question. :icon_ devil:
