Can I do This?

I want to give me OG DROID to my pops to play with. I need to keep the number on that phone alive cause I am having that number forwarded to my new BIONIC cell number. I was going to wipe the phone and let my father sign into that account with his google account.

Now...
  1. OG Verizon# 201.111.1111 is set to forward to Verizon BIONIC 201.222.2222
  2. I use my Google voice to catch 201.222.2222
Plans...
  1. My pops will sign into my OG with his own google account
  2. My pops will add my verizon # 201.111.1111 to his google voice account
Questions
  1. Can my pops use his google voice # 215.333.3333 on my OG
  2. Will my father be able to receive calls on 215.333.3333 on my OG
  3. Will call forwarding from 'Now... - step 1 still work'?

Thanks people

Are you cancelling the forwarding as part of the "Plans" section?

There's no reason that I can see that he can't use GV unless you don't cancel the forwarding. With forwarding left enabled calls to his GV number will just ring your Bionic.

I am not canceling forwarding. I need to leave forwarding from my DROID to my GV number.

Pretty sure GV needs to be associated with a number. Since the one on the Droid is being "used" it wont work.

Sent from my A855, while on the move.

when you say, 'being used' are you referring to the fact that it is being forwarded to another number?

Won't work as you intend then. Think it through. His GV forwards to your old Droid's number. If your old Droid is forwarding to your new device then all calls to his GV number also forward to your new device.

GV forwards calls to the numbers specified in the GV account settings. It doesn't have any other way to forward the calls. GV forwarding can't override the forwarding you set on the old Droid's number.
