Bluetooth tethering

QUESTION, I've been trying to use PDA net bluetooth tethering I turn it on on my phone it says it's on I find it with my Nexus 7 tablet it is even says connected but as soon as I try to access the web via an app the Bluetooth symbol turns gray and I have no connection how do you get it to stay connected ?

So you need FoxFi on the phone and PDANET Tablet on the Nexus 7.

I had internet working ok, however gmail would to sync and Play Store did not work.
