The Droid Bionic pricing has been confirmed at it isn't cheap. The slide above was leaked by Phandroid confirming the future Motorola phone coming out next week will be priced at a steep $299 with a two year Verizon contract. This means the phone is going for $100 more than some of us hoped for, and for those that do not like contracts, get ready to pay a hefty $699.99 off-contract price.

Join the poll and tell us if you are still set to buy this on launch day.

They waited too long for me... I'm jumping to Sprint to pay $10/less month for the same plan and $100+taxes less for a phone I feel is the best option right now (SGS2). Friends with Sprint have no coverage issues around here and I can eat the difference in 4G speeds knowing I saved $340 over two years.

Sorry Moto/Verizon.. the ball was yours to drop.

Sprint is really good in Minneapolis as well. If that huge Samsung Galaxy Note goes to Sprint, I'm leave'n with ya!

If the iPhone 5 sells for $199 most consumers will choose it over any $299 android phone, even if the iPhone is not 4G LTE.

Verizon will retail it for $589, and Best Buy will be $699. Follows along with the current offerings.

$299 is a lot. What is the benefit of going without the contract, other than no contract? Will my monthly cost be less?

I sooooooo want the Samsung Galaxy Note but who knows when it will be available :(

My contract with Verizon is up Sept 8th... was the longest 2 years! I am probably going to get the Bionic but I will see what I can get it for with my discounts

$250 with the $50 "loyalty" discount lol. I was never really "waiting" for this phone; seems kind of like a miniscule thing to get caught up in. A man, waiting for a phone...totally a personal opinion though. Regardless my point is simply that I don't see Moto/Verizon as having failed. Phones come out when they come out, who cares how long it takes as long as they're still cool, quality products?

Hmmmmmm.
I still think that $299 is a tad pricey.

Granted, I still haven't been sold on 4G as of yet.

Nope, no less, you just aren't tied to the full two years.
I guess we know where Verizon's huge profits (and bonuses) come from. Funny how they still want to cut employee benefits though. :icon_eek:
