app for locking out screen inputs

I have a Fascinate. I'm looking for a way/app to turn off most/all inputs during use of Maps. If I'm following Map's directions while walking I find it difficult not to touch the screen and change the Map display while holding the phone. Is there an app that will lock out all inputs but keep the display running?
