[ROM] [AOSP][4.0.4][CDMA] Gummy 1.2.0 - 5/9/12 [BETA]

Any rom is good...
You must set the specific kernel...
On xda you can find a summary for understanding which rom/backup you can use, and wich kernel you must use...

Sent from My Motosola....

All in all I don't recommend this as stable because I see some reports of CDMA dropping and YMMV with the GSM enabling trick from dettofatto.

I have USA CDMA capable version. Enabling GSM appeared to work with bars for strength but strange things happen when testing the phone.

In terms of finding a very stable ICS ROM for USA CDMA version I guess I should check out CM9 right?

Many of the ROMS here don't say if they're good for the EU version or the USA version of the DroidPro and I think that causes a lot of confusion.

GUMMY and CM9 are very similar (basically identical) in regards to what does not work. I prefer GUMMY, it has a little more to it, but it is very similar in functionality to CM9 after trying both. For speed, functionality, and reliability I'm back on rooted GB 4.7.3. It's not exciting, but it sure does work well...

Has anyone been able to figure out why Ad-Hoc networks aren't working? I tried the solution in a thread on Xda Dev's but it seemed to be more geared towards tablets and I can't seem to get it to work.

Love this Rom use it every day, great that the camera is working big thing for me. But my biggest issue is the battery life. Its a real downer. Has anyone found a work around on extending the battery life. Cheers.

The duration of the battery according to my perception is the same as other ICS rom, can be improved more, but more important is to solve not charging when switched off the phone.

i do agree with u. i was back on GB 4.7.3 now. The battery seems to have a longer life under GB. I really wish I can have a perfect ICS rom really soon. But seems the development of ICS on Motorola's phone is a bit slow in general. A bit frustrating...

thrash1: Did you apply the Droid2 bootstrap on this? If you try to bootstrap any 2nd init ROMs (such as this one) they will hang on the boot logo. You will have to sbf back to gingerbread and try again.

In other news, has anyone else experienced a problem where they software keyboard won't show up? I even tried installing the swype beta...that won't show up either. I've tried reinstalling the ROM a couple of times too (to no avail).

Thanks!

If your using the nightlies I know about that. Been trying to fix for the past 2 days without luck >.< Only does it on devices with physical keyboards though so I'm the only one working on it since it doesnt affect others.

Dude I've been having the same problems with my aokp port! Its such a pain.

Gsm

GSM users, how stable are you finding this?

I'm not entirely sure since I don't have many places to test with a good signal all the time but I think it appears to work but then keeps disconnecting.

Phone calls seem to work but sometimes incoming calls don't ring...

in general it doesn't feel reliable enough to use daily?

OP updated for 1.2.0 release.

Sorry for the link to Rootz for the full OP, simply much easier to keep them all updated this way.

Fixed the camera mirroring (or should be atleast...)

Sorry for link to Rootzwiki for full OP/changelog, much easier to keep the 9 Gummy threads I maintain updated this way.
