'Android System' is my battery killer. how do I fix?

when I go into settings> phone info> battery usage...I see that android system is killing my battery terribly. I'm a noob... how can I fix this? I already made all changes stated in other battery forms.

My Ex got her new phone ( replaced for poor reception ) and it eats up the battery with Android OS taking 98% of Battery. Needles to say, another phone on order. Hope she gets new one with TFT screen. So there are BAD phones out there. I'll bet dollars to donuts her "new phone:icon_rolleyes:" was refurbished.

get the advance task killer app. change the settings to extreme, it shuts down android temporarily but it seems to work good enough for me.

Do some research, That is the worst advice to give....ATK does nothing but help eat battery life.
