A simple request for the CVPCS team

To the CVPCS team

I have a simple request. under the scriptybox command
then under the switchapk command
you can switch between ADW version 1.0.1 system or the stock launcher
having this ability to switch between system launchers is great
just one problem version 1.0.1 is old ADW launcher is at version 1.1.4
this new version has some great new features I.E. the ability to move active home screens left to right and the ability to sub divide the app drawer

SO back to my request I don't know where terminal emulator is downloading ADW from when you type switchapk launcher adw but if you could update that file to 1.1.4 that would be great. I'm not expecting it to be updated with every update but thats a big gap from 1.0.1 to 1.1.4

yea you could always just use it from the market, and then maybe there is an rmapk for the original launcher if you didn't want to have it around.

You could also dl the .apk from here:
http://www.jbthemes.com/anderweb/ADW.Launcher_v113_standalone.apk
Then move it to system/app with root explorer, change permissions and reboot

we build adw launcher from scratch for each release when anderwebs releases updates, with the next release the newest version of ADW launcher will be included. these are not prebuilt .apk's they are custom built at runtime for sapphire just like the rest of the rom is.

Thank you sniffle for your quick response I figured it was something to that
affect. @ everyone else who commented take note because this is built to run deep inside the OS it performs better and has a far less chance of being bumped
by Froyo's task killer. I was well aware of just downloading ADW launcher from the app market and downloaded it before I opened this thread. but when downloaded it runs as a regular app and not a system app and therefore is open to be killed by the task killer. this is what i believe is the cause of the redraw issue people are getting with the launchers. also Home Switcher is not supported by Froyo 2.2 and it even says this on the app page.
Again @ Sniffle I look forward to the next sapphire release. any news on when that will be :icon_eek:

Coming from BB .04 I got tired of waiting for .05 there was a thread over BB and one of the post was from a Cvpcs team member who simply said
if you want a great rom you should come on over and try some sapphire.
So I did and I love it

Dumb question time!

Ok, so how do I get the system version running in 1.0 versus the downloaded one from the market? (hopefully the system one can take my backed up desktop settings on SD, etc.)
