*228 is what u call to program ur phone and update ur roaming capabilities u should do it about once a week

Aaahhhh..... so I did it once and have forgotten about it! Its the number you're instructed to call after purchasing your phone then? That leads me to another dumb question: why should you do it once a week? What does it do after the initial program? If I've never done it since and don't seem to have any problems, what might I gain from it? And alternately if I don't have problems what might loose from it??

Well if u press 2 it updates ur roaming capabilities and the better they are the better chance u have of saving some battery from ur phone trying to search for signal it pretty much just improves ur signal in the generic term
