3g issue

So my 3g has been cutting out quite a bit latley sometimes ill click on the market and it wont open because of network failure and same with other apps its very annoying so a tip or help of some sort would be much appreciated and im also running apex 1.4.1 if that helps any

What's your signal strength? Are you in the same unenviable position I'm in that I'm located smack-dab between two towers at a distance of about 2.5-miles each way so you get some insane tower reflection?

Most of the time my signal is better, but on nights like tonight it's pretty bad.

This came from my brain by way of my finger and my phone. Don't ask where any of them have been. Especially the brain.

I had issues with 3g about a week ago. Would not go into 3g at all, just 1x. Fix for me was to pull the battery on it. Left it out for a drive home that took 20 minutes. When I plugged it back it all was good.

I did the *228 cuz that's always my first option but Im thinking it was because of juice defender. I think it was toggleing it when I wasn't using my phone and when it was off so it wasn't coming back on properly I turn juice defender off and it seems to ne good now...I hope

So what's good signal? I just looked at signal and it said -50 dBm it was going between that and 53 but I no nothing about it

Don't worry about that unless it changes.

Signal strength is measured in -dBm. For every -3dBm signal strength roughly doubles. So, at -50 you have approximately -37dBm than I get on a good day. Let's simplify a bit.

-36dBm is 3x13, so 2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2 more signal strength than I get. I'm getting 8192x, so 8 THOUSAND times the signal strength I'm getting. Something doesn't seem right with that amount, but I've double and triple-checked it.

For reference, if I'm less than 1,000 feet from one of the two towers near my home I get -60dBm.

Wow that's intense it seems like I always have good signal im at my girlfriends house right now I think I get the same at my house but we only live like not even a mile away...also u seem really good at math haha
