3g Issue - Data Connection issue

I know there are other threads on this, but none that answered my question.

I'm on a business trip in Bardstown , KY - I noticed I didn't have 3g when my NAV app quit working and I just assumed they didn't have 3g here.

I was having dinner with co-workers tonight and noticed one of them had a droidx and he has 3g. Both our phones say "extended network" as we are both from out of town, but we have the exact same phones.

I tried re-starting, checked wireless/network settings, took the battery out, etc. Everything we could think of and still nothing. All I can do is connect to the hotel wifi, that seems to be it.

Any tips/ideas?

Have you figured this out yet?

I just came across your post. I too have had the same problem in areas south of Bullitt County in the 'Extended Network'.

Several colleagues have Verizon Android phones and DO get service in these areas, same exact phones (Droid X).

If you have called Customer Service and had this resolved, I'd love to hear how it went!

Solved

Data Roaming is not turned on.

Go to Settings>Data Manager>DataDelivery and check Data Roaming to 'ON'
