Network Force Mode for DX?

Been having trouble searching for info on if there's a way to "force mode" the Droid X to lock into either 3G or 1X data network speeds? Reason for asking is I work in a fringe area, and we have repeaters in the bldg, however they're for ATT and I'm a Verizon customer. So, needless to say, it sucks for me with the phone constantly switching between 3G and 1X all day long. Any help or links would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe try the extended controls widget. I believe you can fix a toggle for 2g/3g. Like to switch between the two. Should be what your looking for

Can you be more specific? I'm not familiar with this "extended controls widget". You're not talking about the power controls one, are you?

Search extended controls in market. $.98 app that will let you toggle a Control that will allow you toswap between 1X/3G. I don't know any free apps for that, but you can search market for them. My power control widget came in the rom I'm running.
