1st phone to OC to 2ghz.

I'm wondering if the Bionic will have the capabilities of OC close or to 2ghz. If not I wonder about the Nexus Prime or HTC vigor. Any speculation?

It's possible if you look at the specs for the ARM® Cortex™-A9 which I believe is the main processor in the OMAP 4430 which is speculated to be in the Bionic. Guess we won't know for sure until September.

If I remember right the FCC testing shows them overclocking it to 5Ghz! :icon_eek: Not sure if it melted after two seconds though

I overclocked my D1 to 7.85ghz, it created a blackhole. I was going to try to jump through it and see what happens but then the government showed up at my house.......

Depending on the chip, it may be more difficult to overclock the dual core, as it will introduce more heat obviously than the previous overclocks with the single core D1. If you remember, heat was the contributing factor for the scraping of the original Bionic.
