I know we don't yet have the ability to install custom ROMs on the DI, but is there a way to enable wireless tether via wifi?

It requires root which we do not have yet. I had it on my moto droid and it was really great. It's the only thing I miss from the droid days.

After the phone is rooted will you be able to use the incredible like a wifi hot spot or would you have to plug it into a windows 7 computer and use PDAnet like i have seen done lately.

appreciate you answering the question for the guy... nice work.

as for tether you need root, which is done through a trick and timing in adb recovery. then once in recovery you need push files to the android.tether file on the sd card..

    how to here

    public:adb_in_recovery [RootWiki]

    tether is at the bottom
