I would hate that I won't be able to use all my apps from the get go....

Click to expand... exactly my point. wouldnt make sense to make a new os that doesnt work with the apps. splits all the phones apart.

However, I do predict that developers will offer updates to apps quickly. That is what we encountered with the Bionic. There were apps that would not immediately work with 2.3.4, but now do.
