Ok.so I got root access on ky Droid incredible and got the WiFi tether app. I couldn't get it to connect to my xbox 360 so i looked and it was on the forums that it was impossible to tether with the xbox 360 and WiFi tether for root users and even if you could it wouldn't work for online gaming. Both of these are wrong.
First u need to go into wireless settings and scan for a network. Android tether should appear. Select it and test connection. At first it will not be able to connect. Then to to configure network and restore to factory defaults. Then it will test for connection agian this time though it should connect.
