Why can't I install Adobe Flash

I have tried so many times to install adobe flash but I just get errors like; unable to locate, you do not have permission, unable to install, installation failed. I checked and I'm running Android 2.2.1, which flash says it requires . . . so why all the problems, and how can I install it so I can see flash vids that require it?

The Vortex doesn't support flash player, sorry dude....

Before you go there, what is it that you wanted Flash for? There are usually alternative methods to get something to work on phones w/out Flash support.

Digging thread up from the vault but I'm a newb so my LG Vortex says I need Flash to watch PhoneFlicks (Netflix mobile app). Phone says Flash not supported. Work around? Is it like cool to bring up the dead threads like this. If not punish or ban me...just answer my question first? Thanks...
