White triangle, yellow ! in D1

Rooted Droid 1, flashed dozens of roms
Went back to my original froyo 2.2.2 backup. Now I get a white triangle with a yellow exclamation point when I try to download a rom or restore another one. Being stuck with a stock phone is like being forced to live with your parents.

HELP!

You lost your recovery it sounds like.

Actually, this happened to me and I flashed clockwork or SPRecovery from ROM Manager and it gave me recovery again.

Are you still rooted and can boot the phone up?
