What is taking so long?

Just curious...How is it that the Evo has already been rooted and the DI root is taking so long? They are basically the exact same device software wise. Im just scratching my head. Anyone with the inside scoop got a say on this?

Some of the other threads suggest that it is almost done. Most threads on this topic have been closed though.

I am not sure because I do not own an Incredible. But I think it has something to do with Verizon. I had the HTC Eris, which is basically similiar to the Hero and it took months for that phone to be rooted. I am sure it will get done, but it will take some time.

Thanks for the info. I was just curious why 2 identical phones are light years apart when it comes to rooting them.
