Just curious about performance wise?

Games?

Streaming movie apps?

Up until now I have just been letting the phone install them.

But some apps are getting bigger and bigger content wise.

Mostly concerned about what I should definitely leave on the internal storage.

I usually transfer the big ones to my sd card. You can still do it with others too and if you notice them running a little laggy or behaving different then try to put them back on the phone

Unless you are about to run out of space, don't install any of them on the sdcard.

Old SD card file sys?

Howdy, all. I just got my RAZR, upgrading from a gen1 droid. I have a number of apps loaded on my old sd card. Might I be able to just swap new for old card and not have to download those apps again?

Thanx

I wouldn't put any apps on the SD card, there's no reason to. The Media partition of the internal SD card holds media, photos, music, audio books and if you're
like me and have a lot of pod casts and audio books you can fill it pretty fast.

...and the question remains: Might I be able to just swap new for old card and not have to download those apps again?

I don't think you can cause the links wont be there to the phone but I could be wrong. Test it out on another android phone

What about one of those "app move to SD" apps?

The newer phones use memory different then previous phones. The SD memory (built-in) is designed for media. The SD_Ext is designed for media files only (no apps). If you use an "app move to SD" it will just move it from it's proper storage place to SD (not SD_EXT) and take up your media storage. There is no reason to move apps unless you have filled up the designated storage (which I believe is around 5 Gb).
