Web browser won't connect

Everything on the Droid works fine for me except the web browser will not hook up. The bar gets to about 80% then it stays there. Any help out there?

Have yout tried it on WiFi?
If it works on wifi then something with your provider is wrong.
If not, something with your droid is wrong.
Install an alternative browser (dolphin) from market and try that too!

How do you get to wifi? Is it something I need to download?

WiFi is wireless LAN, only working if you have a router connected to the internet providing Wireless LAN

downloaded wifi widget and it works but super slow, may bring it back.

So you got WiFi on and Browser got you google or whatever website?

It's weird because I can get local radar through that particular application, and the GPS works fine but if I try to get onto the web it is super slow. At first I was using google and got nowhere, I just downloaded the wifi widget and I have a router in my house and it seems to have hooked up but running way to slow

Would you please answer my questions, otherwise i cant help you.

If you downloaded a Widget from the market, the Internet connection is there and working. So browser should work too.

Maybe I am used to my computers speed, and this is how these run, I may go back to the verizon store and ask them, thanks for your help.
