We have a couple of sources that seem to confirm that Verizon's version of the Samsung Galaxy S III will ship to customers on July 9th. In the pic above, you can see a pretty official looking statement from Verizon clarifying a mistake in a confirmation email. They indicate that the ship date of the device will be July 9th, which would lead one to believe that it will start arriving on doorsteps a day or two after that.
Also, BGR claims top have contacted Verizon directly and received a response confirming this same date, so it appears to be legit. It's easy to wonder why VZW is waiting two weeks after the competition to launch the new phone, but who knows why they made that decision.
