Verizon Drops The Axe! Will Disconnect Unlimited Data Users Using Extraordinary Amounts Of Data!

I try not to get into those type of debates but have been lured into some heated arguments about how to use data. I don't complain when things like this happen. I figure, one day, we will lose unlimited and when that day comes I will have to figure it out. Until then I will continue to use, and appreciate the unlimited data that I have.

Absolutely. That's how I see it as well. If it happens one day so be it, I'll survive.

WELL GUYS, It is now the 1st of september and no letter of disconnection. Not even a notification of the $20 increase the rep told me we would be receiving when I called Verizon.

I didn't receive a letter or an email about the monthly increase on our unlimited data plan. It just appeared on the bill the month after the contact was done.

Well, guys.... the rumors are true, I just got my "switch to a different plan or you will be disconnected" letter! Yep, they've given me until Feb 16th! I called Verizon and they confirmed its legit. Well bye bye Verizon and hello at&t. As sad as it is losing my unlimited data, its almost freeing in a way.. free from 14 years with a carrier who doesn't give a f*** about their customers!

My son and I both have unlimited. But we only use average 10 to 20GB each per month

Aw crap. I'm at 65GB and wifey's at 30GB for the month with a lot of the month left and we'll at least that much more data used by the end. I might be next. If so, I'll be on to AT&T too even though AT&T sucks here, but we have to have unlimited data. I can't afford not to.

It's Unlimited as long as you don't use it.......
I'm on Verizon with four lines with unlimited.
I haven't gotten hit with the price increase, yet...
I'm still under contract T-Mobile is looking real good these days.
