Uninstall normal gallery

If we install the new gallery how can we uninstall the old one so there isn't two icons? This board is fantastic by the way, typically forums are very dramatic but everyone here is very helpful.

You can uninstall the gallery, however you have to root your phone to do so.
IMO it's not worth rooting your phone just to delete the gallery (if it's already rooted or you have other desires to root then go for it)
I just put the icon to the new gallery on my home screen and removed the 'old' one.
