I'm having problems installing custom roms from rom manager. I'm rooted with z4root. I'm flashing, backing up, downloading, rebooting in recovery (which I'm not sure its doing) then after booting I install it n zip it.. I don't know if I'm missing something. If someone could help me install a rom from rom manager id greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Also it says move file to root of sd card.. where is the root of it?

You need Koush's Bootstrap to install a ROM. Plus, the "root" of your card is outside any folder on the card.

Revert to your backup, save your contacts to a csv file on your sd card, export csv file to gmail. There's more elaborate threads around on this procedure, if you can't find them or need help doing it just say so.
