Transferring Apps from DX to S3

What's the best way to transfer my apps/contacts from my Droid X to my S3?? I saw one of the apps that backs up the Apps, but didn't save data..is there anyway to transfer the apps without losing data?

If your phone is rooted you can do a backup with titanium which saves it to your sd card. Then transfer the sd Card and restore the apps & data. If not rooted, well,get on it!

It is the best way. I highly recommend getting the titanium backup pro (only a couple of bucks). It also will allow to backup to dropbox, box.net, or google drive.

I also have a DX and am waiting for my S3 to charge and activate. Will my apps still be on my DX after I activate my S3?

Of course they will. But unless you connect to the wifi they will not have internet access.
