Going from Galaxy s3 to s6

Whats the best way to transfer apps, contacts and pics from s3 to s6? Some apps I can just re download but pics i dont wanna lose.

Samsung has a program for PCs called Smart Switch and that's exactly what it's supposed to do, transfer data from one phone to another.

There is also Samsung Kies that you would install on a PC. It is Sammy's media manager for backup and restores.
