I have seen those reviews as well. It functions just like any color screen in the sunlight. I had the M8, and that screen was dim in the sunlight. My wife has the S4 and she can't see anything in the sunlight. The G3's is on par with both of those. I haven't noticed any worse. I did use it yesterday in the sun and was able to see my screen just fine. Do I want to watch a video in the sun? Nope. Can I make calls in the sun? Sure.

Oh wow. Ok, that's a huge difference without root. LOL. Like I said, I'm a fan of the softer colors, but if you want the sharp "in your face" look, this works and works very well! I take back what I said about those who like the AMOLED screens. Just do the color adjustment above if that's the look your going for! Wow. I put it against my wife's S4 and it looks identical now. Even hurts my eyes :p

Great to hear it works y'all ..thank you for testing ...I find with my last phone Note 3 and M8 when on auto brightness the phones look good enough in the sun...if y'all can test that in the G3 ..I kinda think it will be the same ...like Scotty says good enough but I've not seen many phones that great in direct sunlight...

Long time no "see"... :) Got mine as well, alongside the S5 - can't figure out which I want to keep.

It's an awesome device but does have its quirks for sure... and the quirks all seem related to the screen, which is pretty incredible. But all around it's a sleek, VERY nice device. I think scotty summed it up really well.

Got mine on the 16th from T-Mobile. Since T-Mobile doesn't have a locked bootloader I've rooted and installed TWRP. Have all my root apps installed and all the bloat frozen with Titanium. Also made a backup of the stock images just in case. Changed the screen contrast in settings and would put the screen up with either my S4 or Note 3. Pretty satisfied right now just waiting on development for a better kernel.

Ok, I love everything about this phone except ONE thing. And it's pretty important to me.

Choppy bluetooth audio playback to my car stereo? NEver had a problem with my S4 but my audio stream from Spotify and google maps is pretty bad. Pandora hiccups too but not as bad? What gives? Anyone know? Android 4.4.2?

EDIT: Fixed my bluetooth stuttering issue by changing runtime from Dalvik to ART!
Mike is a happy camper now!

That's great that changing to ART fixed it, Mike. Good to know :)

I haven't had any problems with Bluetooth, Wicked. I did have multiple problems with ART. If it works, good deal. If you start getting weird things, though, it's probably ART.
