Text pictures

When someone sends me a text with pictures how do I save the pictures to my gallery so I can delete the text message and keep my picture?

I read on here to press and hold on the pic. A window will pop up to save the picture.

Yup, just long press on the picture and press copy to sd card and you are all set

when I do that it comes up to lock pic, copy to sd card forward but no save as

You want to copy to your sd card.
