Check this out, since I still don't have a sim, I powered it up, put it in Don't Bug Me Mode (no notifications or anything) and left it while I was at work...

Thought we had a battery life thread? Can't find it in the section. Doze is amazing.

3hrs, 20min of screen time.

On a day like today, I would've swapped batteries in my Note 4 long ago.

Took me less than an hour to go from that screen shot of 37% to 75% with my KMASHI powerbank, 5V, 2.1A & the tiny c to a cable that came with the phone. That works for me. At least I know the thing is capable of giving me power on this phone.

Ya, definitely no issues there. I beat this thing up today. Must of flashed my softkeys a dozen times. Couple of hours screen on and will make it to bedtime easy.

Yesterday was a bit of a "drain". Wasn't sure if it was the ROM or if actually having a sim in it and the cell radios working on finding towers or something. Look at the "Awake" time. The Phone didn't seem to "Doze"

Did some investigating and discovered that the "Google" app had a Battery Optimization of "High Use" because
Location Services was set to keep the GPS, WiFI, and something else I can't remember on.

Changed the setting to the low battery use setting and ....

Went from about 3 am until 5:30 all nicely "Dozed"

Love how the Marshmallow Battery Status has such great info. No need for an additional battery monitor app to figure out what was going on here.

I haven't really noticed Doze kicking in for me. Of course, having a watch connected probably prevents that.

Nope. I have my urbane connected & mine definitely dozes. That last screen shot I posted, I was at work all day with my watch on.

I've been more conscious about setting my phone in my desk instead of in my pocket while I'm in the office. Trying it in the pocket today to see if I notice much difference.

I'm guessing not, since I pick it up & put it in my pocket when I leave the office.

It could also be that I'm still in the "I can't put this phone down" phase. So when I do put it down it doesn't stay down for long.

That screen though, it's consistently at the top of the list for what's draining my battery.

I'm at 82% only being unplugged for 2 hours.

I'm at 87% and been uplugged for almost 2 hours, but I'm already seeing some doze action in my battery stats. Didn't use my phone for the first part of work here. Now, I've had a chance to close my office door and play a couple quick little games and check on my packages, but it'll flatten back out again here soon.

I'm actually impressed that it dozes so quickly. I was under the impression that it'd have to sit still a lot longer before going into doze mode.
