I'm home sick from work today with a bad back.

Woke up a bit ago & grabbed my phone.

It's showing the icon for no sim card.

I've tried every truck I could. Popped it out & rubbed the metal on my T-shirt & put it back in. No luck.

Turned the phone off, popped it out, turned the phone on, put it back in. No luck.

Only thing I didn't try was to turn it on without the sim for a while & then turn it off again to put the sim back in, but since it was on the first time I put the sim in & it registered find, I doubt they'll help.

Do I just go to vzw & ask for a new sim?

This is the one I cut down that's worked just fine since I got the phone.

Anybody who has to get a new sim have issues with activating it? I don't have another phone that takes a nano sim that I'm aware of. Can vzw activate it manually?

Anybody know or have any other advice?

What a bummer, bad back and SIM on the same day. That's no fun. I have had several new SIM's installed at a Verizon store, they are free if you are a Verizon customer and activation only takes a few minutes. Hope they can help you out.

My concern is that I know they said when the 6P first came out that you were five to use your existing sim, but it was hairy trying to activate a new one. Not sure if that meant new sim or a sim for new service. Guess I'll find out.

And my back is feeling better today than yesterday. I can stand up straight so far today, so that's good news. Yesterday was painful to even shuffle around the house or sit up straight.

I have been there several times and I know what you mean & how it feels. It's definitely no fun. Good luck with your phone & your back!

Well, that was much more painless than I figured it would be with a Nexus! Up & running again already!

Think my back feels a little better too. That could just be because I showered though. Haha

She kept flipping my 6P over to look at the back though. Don't think she's ever seen one.

Didn't seem to notice or care that I'd cut my micro sim down either. Haha

Thanks. Would be nice to know what happened, but since I got a new sim for free & they didn't give me any hassle, I guess I should just be happy that's all it was.
