I recently moved to a new home that is only 400ft above sea level & part of a major metropolitan city (Seattle 98106). The reception at my home is tereble. Contacted tech support & they were able to duplicate the problem but cant do anything about it. I later contact them again & a tech guy advised me to get a phone that takes a sim card. Would a sim card helps in reception? Phone is a D1 on Verizon, thanks:).

Try dialing #228 to update your phone. This sometimes helps with signal issues by updating cell tower locations. Do option 1, then call again and do option 2. Your phone will shut off and come back on by itself. If that doesn't help, I would call Verizon back and ask about a home signal booster. I think Verizon offers those. Good luck!
