Settings Button Inert after 2.2

Menu>Settings> then nothing.. as if it wasn't pressed. Can't access the factory reset because of this. Occurred after the system update to 2.2, any ideas? Thanks.

You should be able to initiate a factory reset within recovery, from a powered down state power up while holding down the power and X keys until the recovery screen comes up, you can navigate around in recovery by using the D-pad and the camera button

Gonna make this real simple. Pull out your had keyboard after shutting your Droid off. Press and hold the letter X key while it powers up into recovery.

Then navigate with the d pad on the hard keyboard to the factory data reset. Press enter.
