This doesn't look good. We may need to put our phones in cases and be pansies carrying them. Not what I wanted to hear or see.

He did bend it, AFTER, he cracked the screen. But the screen cracked a lot easier than I would have expected.

People that do these tests are morons. My phone goes in my front left pocket with nothing else. If something DOES go in there, it's something soft/not sharp. Not worried about scratches. My lighter goes into my right pocket, so, unless my pants catch fire (I'm probably lying anyway), not worried about the burn test results.

As for the bend, if you're taking your phone in both hands and applying pressure like that, you're an idiot.

This doesn't change my mind at all. I'll rock mine naked until I decide I've found a suitable case, but I'm not going to use it any different than I've used every other phone I've had for years.

I hope this does not lead to another "Insert word-gate", I am tired of gates. I'm with @Jonny Kansas, if you stress any piece of electronic equipment, you will find a breaking point.

I would never treat my phone like that, so I am not too worried about it. If I bend my MacBook screen backwards hard enough, it will snap off, that is why I don't do it.

Why get a phone if I can't cook things on it or use it as a pry bar?

Turns out the dude who did this video is a beast. He does strong man competitions dressed as Bane from Batman. Another YouTuber found pics of this guy on Instagram hauling tractor tires & stuff.

So, yeah. The Hulk can bend the phone like its nothing. Good for him.

Not disagreeing..but one thing I should point out..a lot of lifters actually lack comparable grip strength when compared to their over all body strength.. That's why you see so many people using wraps..they don't have to hold on to the weight..

But a strong man.. Yeah..there isn't a phone made I couldn't snap like nothing..so if he's competing...yeah..the phone didn't stand a chance...

How in the heck does touching a bic lighter to a phone screen simulate any kind of normal heat. Yes the sun is hot, but it does not shine on one tiny little spot on the screen, it heats the entire screen at once. There was nothing real world / normal user / everyday life in that video. Just some hulked up knuckle head looking for 15 minutes of fame. When I was heavy lifting and running obstacle courses all the time I could have smashed a phone with my hands too....doesn't prove anything.
