Is there really a difference in each rom? Its for a buddy..
Which one has a theme chooser?
Can u use safe strap?
I have cm7 on my droid 2 global, but that was forever ago.

I have aokp for droid 4 and cm9 and gummi are almost the same..aokp is the same, just has more options like navbar and lockscreen.

You pretty much answered your own question, the most noticeable difference in each ROM is just going to be the amount of extra customization settings. They all have different types of tweaks in the coding too, so some will be a bit smoother and faster than others.

There's no Safestrap for the DX, just use CWM and Droid 2 Bootstrap Utility
