All credit goes to Wysie for this. Myself and Cennis91 were just the people who poked him to do it. This has only been tested on CM 5.0.7 so no claims for it working on any others. It was built with CM code.

So here it is, a camera.apk with a setting to toggle the ultra-annoying BOOP BOOP focus sound. Again, all credit to Wysie! his contact info is:

Is there any chance of getting this working on 5.0.7 while not causing the force close on video?

FC on video??? that hasn't happened since the tests. 5.0.7 official doesn't have FC issues.

i just upgraded to 5.0.7 and when I tried using the video after installing this it forced closed upon stopping the recording and told me that the file could not be played. If I did something wrong or if it is working for you let me know and I will try again.

that's sounds EXACTLY like test symptoms. try re-downloading fresh and installing:

I am going to try that. Right now I am using the Energy Rom which says it is the 5.0.7 base..Possibly my problem????

yeah sounds like energy is based on the test.

and yes, you need root access.
