Not sure if this is DROID related. But GF has Sprint, going to Puerto Rico for a week. They told her that she would have to pay to use data or voice. Considered roaming. So there would not be a way around this using Skype or Google Voice?

PR is included in Verizon plans. Sort of shows why Sprint is cheaper.

Why does their site list roaming rates for Puerto Rico then?
    Calling From Puerto Rico

...and you need voice for GV.

A lot of my family live in the UK. But I was able to find a way to call from cell to cell for just pennies. I use something called onesuite.com. It takes 5 minutes to set up and then you can dial from your cell for very cheap. It's a pre-paid website. I swear by it.
