Pixel XL vs Pixel battery life

I'm thinking with the Pixel XL having great battery life pushing the larger 5.5 inch screen surely the Pixel will be a beast only having a 5 inch screen. Yeah the Pixel has a smaller battery but the screen is 1080 vs 2560 so that should count. Well let's see.
