My camera is set to 5 MP quality photos, but some photos come out at VGA resolution. This started only after I upgraded to the prerooted Gingerbread leak. Is this a bug in the ROM?

Figured it out: zooming in reduces the quality of the image. Is it supposed to?

I don't know if zooming in is the same thing as lowering the photo quality. I suppose it could be.

The zoom is a digital zoom, not optical. So yes, it will reduce image quality.

That's true. I just don't remember the pictures actually being labeled as VGA in Froyo after a zoom in. Maybe they were and I just never noticed.

    No biggy either way.
