I tried to flash the sbf onto my phone and rsd is giving me a passed result ,however when rebooting it hangs then says failed to boot 4. I tried getting back into the menu by holding the volume down and it does nothing . Im not sure what to do as the only option I have is starting rsd mode when it fails .

Holding Power And The Volume Up Starts RSD Protocol Support.

I followed the instructions at http://www.droidforums.net/forum/motorola-droid-x2/155969-droid-x2-sbf-get-here-2.html which said hold volume down and it did come up fast boot and I got into the rsd protocol menu but now it does nothing . I tried as you suggested just now to do volume up and power and it still eventually comes up Failed to boot 4 starting RSD mode.

Okay If It's Saying Starting RSD Mode Then Plug It Back Into Your Computer And Re-Flash The SBF. Also Be Sure Your USB Cable Is In The Back Ports Not Top Or Front.

Tried that as well Im on my 5th redo and everytime it says passing, also it is plugged into the back as well. Im lost on what to do I guess Ill just keep trying it over and over . Could it be I had a corrupt SBF?

That was actually the link I got it from hehe , Im trying to redownload it as well as another one . Have you seen this error before?

There is a thread on the XDA forums that took all the instructions he found and made it into an easy to follow one. I will look for it now. but I remember him saying if after the SBF the phone boot loops, you should start the stock recovery use the wipe data/factory reset option. I will go look for the thread brb...

Yeah I read that part and thats what I immediately tried . However the problem is that I cannot get into recovery as holding down the buttons will do nothing but come up with that error . I did have a low battery , I was reading on xda someone said above 80 percent or it will fail . I was at 40 when I started is this true?
