I've seen people say that their bill actually went down when adding another Droid to their account and applying a corporate discount.

Why would this be?

If your bill is $200 and you apply a 22% discount, then it comes down to $156.
If you add a Droid data plan that brings the bill (before discount) up to $230, then your bill would be $180.

Maybe they are referring to something like a family plan where its less expensive than if they had all separate accounts?

Okay, I see what you're saying. So an individual who adds a line and becomes a Family Plan could see a decrease. But those of us who already have a family plan wouldn't see that.

My wife really wants a Droid or Nexus, but we definitely don't want yet another monthly bill so it will have to wait.
