People/Contact Backup

Just got a RAZR MAXX HD and would like to know the suggested/best method for backing up the contacts. The phone has Android Version 4.1.1 and I am on the Verizon network. Don't use the gmail account for email, but my cox.net account. TIA

Hmm well since you don't use gmail you can open your contacts and hit the "..." button and export them as a file to your external card. Once there you can just import them back in if you need to.

If you're on Verizon you should have Backup Assistant running. That should be backing up your contacts. This is done in Contacts.....Settings.....Contact storage.
