Sorry, I know I have seen threads about this but didn't pay too much attention since I didn't live or work in a 4G area. But today I look at my phone which I haven't used all day to this point and the battery is over half gone. Now I see 4g LTE on my status bar, so apparently my work is now in a 4g area.

Since I am at work I don't have a ton of time to search, but can anyone update me with whether there is an app or solution to turning off 4g and saving battery?

First know I am not a phone expert.. I don't "root" or anything, not even sure what that means, so I aplogize ahead of time for my ignorance!

Thanks in advance.

Basically toggle off 4G when not needed.

I thought there was no 4g toggle? Is there a way to stay in 3g?

That is what you need.
selecting cdma auto (prl) turns off 4g but keeps all other radios on.
