Hi All,

My 64GB Turbo is failing to send texts with WiFi on and with standard 4G. I've been dropping calls and struggling to get signal in areas my Razr never struggled.

Suggestions?

Thanks.

Try this:

Turn off the phone
Remove the SIM card
Power up with the SIM still removed
Power down and reinstall the SIM
Power up

Next course of action would be to go to your local VZW store and get a new SIM card.

Unfortunately an FDR might be needed as well. Sometimes starting fresh works wonders.

I would do the factory data reset as well. They would most likely do it in the store anyways.

Do you folks recommend a "factory reset" immediately after first obtaining a new phone?

Is it necessary??? Probably not in most cases. But it doesn't hurt to do it after a full charge out of the box and before setting anything up.

Not sure how to access said Sim card with the turbo...

It is under the volume rocker. Just get your nail on the bottom of it and pull out.

Tap'd from my LG G3

I FDR all of my devices when they come out of the box. It has cleared up a wide range of bugs on previous devices so it has become habit now.
