Not getting emails

I have a couple of pop3 accounts that I have set up to check every 5 minutes. It's not doing it, it's intermittent. My BB was incredibly fast, the emails were there instantaneously.

If you check every 5minutes, then getting emails every 5minutes sounds like it is working.

I have it set to check every 5 minutes, but I have emails on my computer that aren't showing up on my Droid.

I have a gmail account and it used to show me in the notifications bar when i would get emails; it longer does this and it only shows when i get emails when i hit refresh..any ideas how to fix this?

Go to setting>your gmail account and then make sure your email is syncing

Iwent to accounts and then gmail account and it only gives the options synce contacts, sync gmail, and sync calender. And when ever i hit sync thats when the emails show up. I just want the emails to sjow up without having to hit sync each time

Do you have the notifications and auto sync boxes setting checked

i have email notifications checked...how do you get to the auto sync one? Thanks for your help

I have a Droid so for me I tap menu, settings, accounts & sync settings, check auto-sync.

The Droid 2 may be different

Turn on/off the phone. Then put the power widget on and press the sync button...and it started working again

Interesting! Not that it matters but I wonder what is different from checking the auto sync in settings?
