New unlock screen

Anyone else not like it? I personally think its kinda ugly and would have liked to have seen an option in settings to change it back. (developers, get working please).

Yeah, I miss the old unlock screen. I liked the spinning selector better and it seemed as though it was easier to unlock, like your finger didn't have to travel as far.

I too am not a fan of the new one. I seem to lose tracking while trying to answer a call a lot more. Bugs me. I wish we could just slide it a little ways rather than all the way to the edge of the screen. I too am not sure why it's not an option. Haven't noticed any vibrating tho. I had big letters that said "PAY YOUR BILL", then I paid it and it went away. Anyone else?

Yes--thanks for the pic BL--I have it on pattern unlock and haven't had to answer a call yet while locked. Now I will know what's going on when I get a call and it's locked.

I like the new one better, the whole screen looks cleaner to me and better organized.

Same here. While the original was fine, I actually prefer the new one. The layout of each item on the screen looks better.

i prefer the old lock screen. it felt better moving your finger in a semi circle to unlock it than side to side. maybe a later update will give us the option to choose the lock screen. that would be great.

I like the clock, hate the lock part... The old one lined up perfectly with the normal movement of my thumb... Now its awkward and annoying!

At first I did not like the new one. But then I realized that it is actually more efficient than the old one. The way it works is like moving a Home shortcut or widget. You do a long press and move it. It will unlock halfway through the screen. It definitely works better for me when I have to pull the phone out of my pocket and answer with my left hand. With the old one I had to swipe the curve two or three times sometimes because my left thumb would not stretch far enough.

I just had a phone call when it was locked, and I still have the old unlock screen. <Scratches Head> I have the update, so am wondering why I'm not seeing the new one.

Huh--strange... The only thing I can think of is I have Home++ and nothing else out of the ordinary.

As stated it doesn't follow the natural movement of my thumb. AT LEAST GIVE US THE OPTION....I feel like a socialist iphone user with no choice now

I can't believe the strong feelings over such a minor change. Personally, I like it. The straight across swipe to unlock is much more ergonomic. I also like having my home page wallpaper as the background for the unlock page. The vibration is a non-inssue in my book.
