new phone texts dont work

im not sure if they set my phone up wrong or what but i had a old very basic alltell phone and went in today to get a new phone before they shut
mine off. my texts worked on the old phone. got the droid 4 today and left the store got home and tried to text and it said failed, had someone text me and they said it said failed on there phone, also when they try to text me it says failed i guess.

also looking under setting it says

networrk unknown
mobile network state disconnected

also my phone number and min is different, im not sure if there suppose
to match. i also read somewhere that if your phone number has the
dashes in it that the texts wont work, min is listed as xxx-xxx-xxxx
instead of xxxxxxxxxx

is there something i should change to get the texts to work, or is
something not working right at the company end. the person working with
me kind of seemed new and maybe didnt know what she was doing.

also this is my first smart phone so sorry in advance if im a bit dumb, i can usually figure this stuff out good but im completely lost right now!

It was the weekend after an OTA patch. Sure folks were out for the day enjoying life and/or the new patch. Don't play the community off because no one answered within a day.

In any case, I'm glad to see it was an easy fix.
