My name is Steve and I just replaced my Eris with a Motorola - it seems to be much faster and more responsive and after a whooping 24 hours I am quite pleased with it. My first issue is this: on the Eris the Message icon showed a number of msgs waiting to be read - that does not occur on the Motorola - is that correctable?

Don't know if you're talking about email or text messages. In either case I'd look in the Market, search message counter and see if you can't find something there.
