Need a good file manager

What's a good file manager I heard astro is good but some people are saying it kills the battery

I personally like Root Explorer. Astro is good too and no it doesn't kill the battery.

If you're not rooted try Linda File Manager. Otherwise get Root Explorer.

I am going to root my phone, but havent yet. Which one is best/file manager....for a rooted phone? I am having problems accessing my SD card on my LG ally. I have no data cos Page Plus didnt program it to receive data, another issue to deal with later, so i was going to download univ androot from my SD card or my PC? I just downloaded LG mobile support to communicate with my phone. I think I need a file mgr so I can see what I need to delete offf this slow phone. I just want to delete apps I do not need. That is my goal and it has been one obstacle after another! (>%

You posted in the Incredible section. Are you asking about an Inc or your Ally?

I use AndroZip. It works really well.
