My Droid Pro is in the mail...any tips

I have a used Droid Pro that I bought off of ebay coming soon. My Sony Ericsson P1i lasted me 3+ years. So this is my first go at android and my first time on a carrier other then ATT. Any tips? Anything I should do to the phone when it gets here in a few days?

I would suggest rooting with Petes Motorola tools. Get your hands on RSD light and the proper sbf file in case any thing goes wrong and install the CM7 or apeX 2.0 ROM. Blows away the stock gingerbread OS. Battery life and speed. The instructions and advice on this forum was all I needed.

I'm just to lame to keep up with with all those letters that aren't words. But I guess I'll be looking into that.

The keyboards your friend! I was able to set up all kinds of hot keys for different apps. I think id press the home button and g key and it would take me to my gmail. Home button and n key would take me to notes. Etc.
